Leaves

Ok, short brake from the OLS challenge :-) Don't know if there is a limit how many cards someone can publish. But I don't want to tax Susan's (and the other girls') patience...

So here is a card with more than one layer:

I used an old Hero Arts palm tree / leave stamp. Stamped it with turqoise pigment ink and with Versamark. Embossed it with a holografic embossing powder which changes the colour (depends on how long you heat set it).

The sentiment is german and means "good luck".

Technically it is a four layered card :-)

Supplies:
Stamps: HeroArts - leave, Heindesign (german company) - sentiment
Embossing Powder: JudiKins
Punches: Stampin Up
paper: noname

Have a nice day, happy stamping

Congratulations

Of course I still do stamping other cards than for the OLS challenge, too. :-)

But to be honest the August theme of the OLS has inspired me really, really a lot.

So, this card won't fulfill the rules of the OLS, because it has TWO layers, but the colour combo is inspired by the "Shades of Summer #3" (which was my most favourite of all).

I was in need of another birthday card so I made this one:

This time I combined different stamp companies and inks. They fit nicely together. Just think outside the box. Not necessary to use only products of ONE company (at least when you don't work as a DT member or SU-Demo).

Supplies:
Stamps: Stampin Up (flower), Hero Arts (chevron), MSE (sentiment)
Ink: Stampin Up, Distress, Memento
Rhinestones: noname
Punch: Stampin Up

Have a great day, happy stamping

One-Layer Simplicity Challenge #5: Fabulous Flowers (#2)

This is my second card for the  OLS blog.

I did the same stamping but changed the colouring technique:

Instead of using alcohol markers I coloured the flowers with distress inks this time. Totally different result ;-)

But I am sure I will do some more flower stamping. I do have quite a lot of flower stamps and all of them are calling my name :-)

Stamps: Magenta (flowers), Hero Arts (sentiment)
Ink: Memento, Ditress inks

 Thanks for looking.

Have a nice day,

Sandra (Sunny)

One-Layer Simplicity Challenge #5: Fabulous Flowers

On the OLS blog, the theme for May is flowers. Much easier than the last one, smile.

So here is the first card I made for this challenge:

I coloured the flowers with alcohol markers. Both - the focal image and the sentiment -  are discontinued stamps, I suspect. At least I bought them years ago...

Stamps: Magenta (flowers), Hero Arts (sentiment)
Ink: Memento

 Thanks for looking.

Have a nice day,

Sandra (Sunny)

Another Birthday card

This is another lilac/green birthday card I made:

As usual, the picture isn't that good, sorry.

Stamps are from Hero Arts (sentiment - discontinued) and unknown (flower), coloured with Distress ink pads and a waterbrush.

Thanks for looking.

Two More Cards for the One Layered Challenge

Some more cards I made for the One Layered Challenge

I inked the flower stamp with  distress inks and added alot of water.

This is the very first time I cut one of my stamps apart! I separated the "Happy Birthday" sentiment, this makes it a lot more easier for me to position it in the right places. But it was really hard for me to cut them into two pieces...

Using the same flower stamp but another sentiment, I love this stamp set. The font is really great and looks like calligraphy. This card is for my friend Julia, her birthday is soon to come - and her favourite colours are lilac and green so I think this will be the perfect card for her.

Stamps: Hero Arts, Avery Elle
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress inks, Memento
Paper: unknown
